Frida Kahlo is the first major presentation of the Mexican artist's works in the United States in over a decade. Organized in celebration of the 100th anniversary of Frida Kahlo's birth, the exhibition will present approximately fifty paintings from the beginning of her career in 1926 to the year of her death in 1954. The exhibition will feature:

  • A selection of self-portraits, still lifes and portraits in vivid colors rendered in great detail. Figurative and fantastical paintings filled with complex symbolism

  • A selection of photographs of Kahlo and her husband, Mexican muralist Diego Rivera, by preeminent international photographers of the period, namely Manuel Alvarez Bravo, Lola Alvarez Bravo, Gisele Freund, Tina Modotti, and Nickolas Muray

In addition to your private, docent-led tour of the Frida Kahlo exhibition prior to the show's public hours, your group's personalized multi-day program could include:
