The landscapes and culture of Italy, which have enchanted visitors and artists for centuries, will serve as inspiration for the 2009 Philadelphia Flower Show, “Bella Italia.” The celebration of the natural beauty, art, food, music and people of Italy will be held March 1-8, 2009, at the Pennsylvania Convention Center.

A staircase stage will feature operatic performances and other musical presentations, while strolling musicians wander the Show floor. The central feature of the 2009 show will capture the majesty of Rome and its formal gardens. Show exhibitors also will pay tribute to the other distinctive regions and cities of Italy: Milan, Florence, Tuscany, Venice, Spello and the Italian Riviera.

Allow Philadelphia Hospitality to create an exclusive program for your group featuring an early morning docent-lead tour of Bella Italia - the 2009 Philadelphia Flower Show before the doors open to the public, and any of the following:

  • A visit to the renowned Barnes Foundation, which houses one of the world’s finest private collections of Impressionist, Post-Impressionist and early-modern art
  • An excursion to the Brandywine Valley to visit Longwood Gardens, the Brandywine River Museum or Winterthur
  • A performance of The Philadelphia Orchestra at the dazzling Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts
  • And the signature piece of Philadelphia Hospitality programs, lunch or afternoon tea in a private home or private club

Philadelphia Hospitality invites lovers of horticulture and Italian culture to enjoy this unique experience. Custom-designed, multi-day itineraries can be arranged for groups of 10 or more. Remember – these tours can also be used as a fundraiser for your organization, or an exclusive opportunity offered to reward your loyal patrons and supporters.
